On the outskirts of Mumbai is this beautiful nature deep bird sanctuary called Karnala Bird Sanctuary. Once you enter the bird sanctuary there is a road which goes up to the end else you could take muddy trails deep in the jungle and explore the nature for your own self.
The entire place is more like a jungle where you have all the freedom to go an explore the hidden trails of nature. The moment you enter, trust me you are about to get lost in nature and forget everything.
One you are into it, you come across muddy trails and rocky paths. The greenery around is mesmerizing. The trees not only let the breeze on to you but also spread calmness in the surroundings.
As we start going further deep into the wild, we come across cob webs, birds, insects and the real nature that all of us have all been looking for.
The beautiful birds, their habitat and their living is only experienced in silence. Always remember never trouble the nature, just admire it. Be quite and calm and just enjoy.
As you move further deep into the wild, you come across a water body. This would be full of water during monsoons but I personally liked this sight more as it gave a nice view for photography.
After you cross over this bridge and move further ahead, you would come across a water body which also is a home for relaxation to a lot of birds.
Apart from the natural habitat, the place also contains a few birds which are caged as well for people who just want to take the usual road instead of wandering into the wild. They can go up to these cages and enjoy the sight of birds.
At the exit is a place which is called maintained small walk-through garden called the “Hanging Garden”. It has plants and flowers for you to enjoy and feel the completeness of nature.
This park is surrounded by a lot of monkeys. The people located here have put up a small shop where they will also offer you food to eat after you trail through the sanctuary.
That for you dear readers is Karnala Bird Sanctuary. All nature deep lovers are for sure going to enjoy this place. I believe that any season is best to visit there. For less crowd and dry times you can try winters, else for an enjoyable greenery and full brim water body you can go ahead in monsoons. Also you can trek upto the Karnala hill during monsoons.
Feel free to share the article anywhere you want. Also do let me know in the comments about your trip or anything that you feel I might have missed out in case you have visited this place too.
